Inter-Collegiate Men’s Judo: Trikuta Degree College emerges champions

Jammu, Oct 6: The Directorate also organised the Inter-Collegiate Judo (Men) Tournament 2025–26 at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu. Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, was the Chief Guest of the championship and was introduced to the participating judokas representing various colleges.

Sharing results of the competition through a statement, in 60-kg, Gagan Singh (GDC Basohli) won the Gold Medal, Narinder Singh (GDC Khour) the Silver Medal, and Yuvraj Singh (GDC Udhampur) the Bronze Medal, Vinkal Bhagat (GDC Doda) Bronze Medal.

In the 66 kg category,  Bir Bahadur (GDC Basholi) won the gold medal, Parman Singh (GDC Khour) the silver medal, Puran Surgh (GDC Udhampur) the bronze medal and Tofail Jan (GDC Doda) the bronze medal.

In the 73 kg category, Azad Ali (GDC Reasi) won the gold medal, Rohanjeet Singh (GDC Doda) the silver medal, Imran Khan (GDC Bishnah) the bronze medal, and Pushkar Bagwalia (GDC Basholi) the bronze medal.

In the 81 kg category, Prikshit Singh (Trikuta Degree College) won the gold medal, and Rahul Sharma (GDC Akhnoor) won the silver medal.

In the 90 kg category, Gourav Bhagat (Trikuta Degree College) won the gold medal, Tofeeq Umer (GDC Reasi) the silver medal, Adnan Farooq (GDC Doda) the bronze medal, and Krish Thakur (GDC Basohli) the bronze medal.

In the 100-kg category, Kapil Singh (Trikuta Degree College) won the gold medal, Arunjeet Singh (GDC Doda) the silver medal and Akash Singh (GDC Basohli) the bronze medal.

In the 100 kg category, Tarun Singh (GDC Kakryal) won the gold medal, and Rajan Bhardwaj (GDC Khour) won the silver medal.

The Overall Championship was lifted by Trikuta Degree College, securing 15 points, while GDC Basohli secured the second position.

The competition was officiated by Danish Sharma, Shweta Thakur, Vikas Dogra, Arshi Nad, and Jai Bharat.
