Increase bed capacity of SKIMS ICUs : Qayoom Wani
Srinagar, Sep 01: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has urged the LG administration to increase the staff and bed capacity of intensive care units (ICUs) in SKIMS Soura.
In a statement he expressed concern over the dysfunction of life saving machines in the valley's premier SKIMS. "Linear Accelerator machine in SKIMS Soura is defunct from past 12 days due to which cancer patients have been suffering badly,” he said.
Chairman JKCSF has expressed concern over the patients plea and has urged upon the authorities to look into the appeal made before the civil society by the patients.
Wani applauded the role and untiring work of Kashmiri doctors and other paramedical fraternity. He has appealed the SKIMS Director to look into this grim issue and has hoped for on time repairing and service of machines and equipments in the service of ailing humanity.
