Iltija Mufti writing mother Mehbooba Mufti’s biography

Srinagar, Mar 24: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter, Iltija Mufti , has said that she is writing the biography of her mother.

The biography will shed light on the PDP’s political journey and its significance in Kashmiri politics.

Iltija stated this in an interview with a news channel.

She referred to her intensive research on Kashmir's history, undertaken in preparation for her mother's biography.

Iltija said the pivotal role played by Mehbooba Mufti and her father, PDP founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, in challenging the dominance of a single party and offering an alternative vision to the people, rooted in dignity and empowerment.

“I am reading a lot of Kashmir history these days. This is because I am writing my mother- Mehbooba Mufti’s biography,” she said.
