Anantnag, May 18: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari Saturday accused the National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of facilitating the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent Kashmir visit and that both the parties had been tasked to break the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a public meeting in Kokernag areas of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Bukhari alleged that the recent visit of the Home Minister had been facilitated by NC and PDP who had been badly exposed in the public.

“Home Minister Amit Shah visited Kashmir on the invite of NC and PDP. These two political dynasties were given the task of breaking the PAGD. Let them deny it if they haven’t. I will produce evidence where meetings took place for aborting the motive of PAGD,” he said.

The Apni Party President accused both political parties of being responsible for breaking into pieces the PAGD, a forum meant to strive for the restoration of Article 370.

“Omar Abdullah Sahab and Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba should tell how much money they received for breaking the PAGD,” he said.

“NC and PDP speak about the dignity of J&K when they are out of power. When both parties hold the chair, everything is OK for them. But I want to tell them that the chair won’t be restored to them but the dignity and respect of the youth will be restored,” Bukhari said.

He said Amit Shah cannot ensure the win of Abdullah and Mufti.

“Over the last five years, Omar Sahab did not do anything except issue statements,” the Apni Party President said and questioned the NC leader why he did not resign from the parliament following the abrogation of Article 370.

He also accused the Abdullahs of making money through a cricket scam.

“I want to ask him how many youth his MPs have managed to get released from jails,” Bukhari said.

Launching a tirade on Mehbooba Mufti, he said that if she thinks people had forgotten her “milk and toffee” remarks and PDP’s role in bringing BJP to J&K, then she was living in a make-believe world.

“NC and PDP are actual A and B teams of BJP. However, now their time is over,” he said.

Earlier, addressing a public rally in Kokernag, the Apni Party president welcomed the recent statement of Jammat-e-Islamia (JeI) about its decision to take part in the electoral process.

“I welcome the religious organisation that has decided to come forward for the betterment and welfare of the society,” he said.

Jamaat-e-Islami panel head Ghulam Qadir Wani in a recent press conference said that the outfit was ready to contest the elections, provided the government lifts the ban on it.

Bukhari urged people to vote for Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, the party’s candidate for the Lok Sabha polls in the Rajouri-Anantnag constituency, which is scheduled for voting on May 25.
