Home Minister’s direction to use all might to annihilate terror perpetrators: LG Sinha

Jammu, Apr 24: Union Home Minister Amit Shahís direction to ìuse all might for the strongest possible actionî and ìcomplete dismantling of the ecosystem of terrorismî would be the key words for the security forces, going full throttle against the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack.

This was a clear message from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha while chairing a security review meeting in Srinagar late Wednesday afternoon after the Union Home Minister left for the union capital, wrapping up his visit to Srinagar in the aftermath of the dastardly killing.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat and all senior civil administration and police officials.

The Union Home Ministerís message during high-level meetings and interactions with the security officials was measured yet loud and clear.

ìThe culprits of this dastardly attack will not be spared. The perpetrators of this heinous act were mistaken if they thought that they, with their monstrous act of killing unarmed civilians, could make the country bend to terror,î Shah had said.

The message resonated with LG Sinhaís unambiguous instructions in the high-level security review meeting, aimed at ensuring that the directions passed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah were followed swiftly to bring those responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack to justice.

During the meeting, the LG, as per sources, reiterated the commitment of the Centre to ìavenge the killings of innocent citizens and ensure the prevention of similar reprehensible acts of terrorism.î

ìThe Home Minister has directed that all might must be used for the strongest possible action against the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack and the ecosystem of terrorism has to be completely dismantled,î LG Sinha, as per sources, told the meeting.

ìDCs and SSPs must take steps on the ground to restore a sense of security to the people and take care of their needs,î was his (LGís) another significant instruction during the meeting.

ìI want to assure the nation that the scourge of terrorism will be fought with determination. All means and measures must be taken to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack,î the LG, as per sources, directed the DGP and senior police officials. LG Sinha, as per sources, said that nothing could compensate for the innocent lives lost in the most heinous terror attack.

ìBut it is important to ensure that we avenge the killing of our citizens and destroy terror outfits and those aiding and abetting terrorists wherever they are,î he instructed during the meeting.

Notably, the LG, earlier also, has asserted that all operations, being undertaken to annihilate terrorism and its ecosystem, in J&K will continue relentlessly, giving no breather to terrorists and supporters.

ìOur forces, working in perfect synergy, are fully competent to take on the challenges and give a befitting reply to the enemy, in an equal measure and kind,î he said.
