Srinagar, Nov. 23: A high-level security and administrative meeting of the Jammu Division is currently underway, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, to review the region’s overall security grid, preparedness for the upcoming winter months, and the ongoing anti-terror operations.

Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) from all districts of the Jammu Division are participating in the meeting. Senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP) and other top officers from civil and police administration, are also in attendance.

According to officials present at the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor is taking a district-wise assessment of security arrangements, with special emphasis on counter-terror operations, protection of vital installations, and strengthening coordination between civil and security agencies.

The meeting is also focusing on winter preparedness, particularly in snow-prone districts where road connectivity, power supply, stock availability, and emergency response mechanisms require advance planning.
