DRM inaugurates futuristic gym, club in Jammu Railway Colony

Jammu, Dec 4: Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Vivek Kumar Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed gym and railway club in the Jammu Railway Colony.

This initiative aims to improve the physical and mental health of railway employees. The railway club in the railway colony will also serve as a venue for recreational events.

The Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Senior Divisional Finance Manager, senior officers, and railway employees were also present at the inauguration ceremony.

“Under the guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway, many commendable initiatives are being undertaken, both for passenger convenience and for the benefit of railway employees. In this series, today, DRM inaugurated a gym and railway club in the Jammu Railway Colony,” said Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Jammu Railway Division, Uchit Singhal.

The newly opened gym and railway club in the division have been specially designed with special attention to detail. The gym has been equipped with the latest exercise equipment, including treadmills and weightlifting machines.

The Railway Club, on the other hand, is designed for cultural activities.

Divisional Railway Manager, Vivek Kumar, stated, “The gym and Railway Club will provide a wonderful opportunity for railway personnel to take a break from their daily routine and focus on their health. These facilities are intended to encourage employees to live a stress-free life and adopt a healthy lifestyle.”

He further stated that the railway administration was committed to expanding such welfare facilities for its employees and their families, along with passenger amenities.
