Srinagar, Dec 24: Police on Tuesday said that a lady namely Khurshi Begam of Looswani Pulwama reportedly died after pushed by son-in-law during arguments with his wife in Gudoora area of Pulwama yesterday.

Police said an FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of law and the son-in-law of the deceased has been lodged at police station Pulwama, while as further investigations into the case have been initiated.

“Yesterday evening at about 1800 hours, one lady namely Khurshi Begum W/o Ab Rehman Dar R/o Looswani was brought dead to DH Pulwama. Reportedly deceased was present at her daughter’s home at Gudoora. Deceased’s daughter namely Rafeeqa Bano W/o Mohammad Aslam Mir R/o Gudoora and her husband were having some arguments and the deceased also got into it,” police in a statement said.

During this process reportedly accused pushed her and she collapsed,” the statement said.

In this regard Rafeeqa Bano (complainant) gave a written complaint against her husband Mohammad Aslam Mir R/O Gudoora on which FIR No. 257/2024 under relevant sections of law has been lodged at PS Pulwama and investigation taken up, police in a statement added.
