Ganderbal, Aug 08: Ganderbal Degree College on Thursday organised a pre-admission counselling session for students intending to seek admission for various UG programmes offered by the college for the year 2024.

The programme was conducted in the college auditorium and saw a huge gathering of admission aspirants, parents, teaching and non- teaching staff. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Sheikh Tanveer Salam, Coordinator IQAC.

The programme started with a welcome address by the Principal, Prof Fouzia Fatima, who complimented the students for choosing Ganderbal Degree College for taking the admission. This was followed by a power point presentation by Dr Sheikh Tanveer Salam, who briefed the students about the student-centric facilities available in the college and the achievements of the institution in different fields to orient the students for taking admission in different programmes offered by the college.

Later, the stage was thrown open for a doubt clearing session which was addressed by the respective faculty members of the college.

Dr Salma Khan (NCC officer) gave orientation to the students towards NCC, highlighting the benefits of joining NCC, while Ravinder Kaur, College PTI, highlighted the sports facilities available for the students to attract them towards the sports for their holistic development. The programme concluded with special remarks and formal vote of thanks by Prof Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh, HOD Chemistry.
