Gayoor Foundation holds meeting over rising drug abuse
Srinagar, July 21: Gayoor Foundation Executive Council held a crucial meeting at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, under the chairmanship of Er Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi.
The meeting witnessed lively discussions on key organisational issues, future plans, and concerns over the rising drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chairman welcomed the suggestions made by several members of the Executive Council to make the Foundation more active and implement social services at the ground level.
On this occasion, it was decided that the Foundation will organise the " Gayoor Memorial Cricket Tournament" to attract the young generation towards sports and other recreational activities and it will start from Pulwama district.
Syed Latif Saifullah Andrabi, Dr. Pervaiz Ahmed and Showat Hameed Shah were assigned the responsibility.
During the meeting, a 4-member committee consisting of Foundation Patron Dr. Ayash Arif, General Secretary Dr. Wahid Raza, Sheen Meem Ahmed and Er. Wali Mohd Dar was formed which will work on organising the foundation, making the advisory council more active, forming committees at the district level and carrying out other matters.
The foundation will expand its scope on the ground level for the betterment of the society by promoting social justice, language, literature and culture as well as by increasing contacts with relevant institutions at the governmental and non-governmental levels.
In the meeting, Dr. Wahid Raza, Er. Wali Mohd Dar, Gh Hussain Hussaini, Dr. Ayyash Arif, Maqbool Ferozi, Tasin Naqshbandi, Kaleem Bashir, Sheen Meem Ahmed, Dr. Mah Jabeen Nabi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Shakeelur Rehman Kamli, Bashir Ahmad Masoudi, Syed Latif Saifullah Andrabi, Showkat Hameed Shah, Dr. Pervez Ahmad Bhat, Advocate Mushtaq Kenny, Shabbir U zaman, Sheikh Ali Muhammad, Abdul Rasheed Wani, Rashiduddin Najjar, Khurshid Qureshi, Fayyaz Hussain Nengru, Syed Farhat Ahmed, and other members participated.
