Four killed, over dozen others injured in road accident in central Kashmir's Kangan

Kangan, Mar 23: Atleast four people were killed in a tragic road accident in Gund area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.

Officials said a tragic road accident occurred between a Toyota Etios bearing registration number MP04TB- 1999 on way from Srinagar to Sonamarg and a passenger bus bearing registration number JKO3- 6078 near Gund Kangan on Srinagar Leh highway, resulting into the death of four people including three tourists.

The rescue operation was carried by police, CRPR and locals. In this incident over a dozen others were injured, who were evacuated to nearby hospital for treatment.

SSP Ganderbal Raghav S, SDPO Kangan and SHO Gund reached on the spot to monitor the rescue operation.
