Forces conduct CASOs in Tandwal, DKG

Rajouri, Oct 28: Security forces conducted a Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) in the Dehra Ki Gali and Tandwal areas of the border district Rajouri on Monday.

The anti-militancy operation conducted at DKG was speculative while the one conducted at Tandwal was based on information regarding the presence and movement of two suspects in this area. 

Officials said that at DKG, teams of the Army's Rashtriya Rifles conducted a speculative operation. This operation conducted on Monday evening was aimed at area sanitisation, they said.

The other operation was conducted on Sunday night in the Tandwal area which is half a kilometre from Rajouri town.

Officials said that the sighting of two suspects was reported from this area on Sunday night and a joint operation was launched by the Army, J&K Police, and paramilitary CRPF.

The site is located adjacent to an Army establishment and BJP district office. 

The joint teams of the Army, J&K Police, and CRPF conducted the search operation on Sunday night that continued till Monday morning while all sides of the area were cordoned off.
