Era of hollow slogans over: JKPC's Abid Ansari
Srinagar, Sep 05: Jammu & Kashmir Peoples’ Conference (JKPC) senior leader Abid Ansari Thursday said that the era of keeping faith in hollow slogans have now been over, and people are watching who really struggles for them.
“People do not believe in hollow slogans now. This era has been over. They have become politically mature as compare to past, and are observing who are struggling for their survival, livelihood and dignity,” JKPC leader Abid Ansari told media persons after filing his nomination for Srinagar’s Zadibal Assembly segment.
“I have fought elections in past as well. This is not new affair for me today,” news agency KNS reported him as saying.
“Time will decide. Today’s election will be for the development. In 2014 I was in power for 18 months , and I did tremendous work for my constituency. Compare my work with those who were in power for decades. They did nothing except they kept people engage in hollow slogans,” he said.
When asked to comment on NC-Congress alliance, the JKPC leader said, “This is an old talk”.
