Srinagar, Oct 17: Er Aijaz Hussain, District Development Council (DDC) Member for the Khonmoh Constituency and Co-Incharge of the BJP Minority Morcha, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, on Friday attended the Closing Ceremony of the 18th UT Level Water Skiing Championship 2025-26 as the Chief Guest.

As per a statement issued, the event was organised by the Water Skiing Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council and was held at the picturesque Eco Park, Foreshore Road, Srinagar.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing various districts and sports clubs across the Union Territory. Young athletes displayed exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, making the event a grand success.

In his address, Er Aijaz Hussain congratulated the organisers and participants for promoting water sports in Kashmir. He emphasised the importance of developing adventure and aquatic sports to boost tourism and provide youth with constructive avenues for growth and engagement.

Later, Er Aijaz Hussain distributed awards and mementos among the winners and finalists, appreciating their dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit.

Prominent office bearers of the Association, including General Secretary Muzaffar Shah and Senior Vice President Jassim Muzaffar, were also present on the occasion along with other dignitaries.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, honouring the winners and participants for their outstanding performances.
