Dr Andrabi joins Ashura procession in Ganderbal

Srinagar, July 17: Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi today visited Dab Sadat Ganderbal and participated in the Ashura procession held in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family and companions in Karbala while fighting for truth.

According to a press note, she was accompanied by Syed Sajad Rizvi and Mohammed Amin Bhat among others. Dr Andrabi visited the Imambaras in Sad at Mohalla, Thokerpora and Malik Mohalla in the locality and participated in holy gatherings. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi paid obeisance at the shrine of Shaheed Mir Syed Daniyal (RA) and prayed for the peace and brotherhood of whole of humanity.

Dr Andrabi addressed the gatherings at different places and paid tributes to the great Imam. "Great Imam Hussain (AS) is the guiding force for whole of humanity. His life is the brightest example of resilience against the evil, cruelty and immorality. His ultimate sacrifice is unparalleled in entire history and he stands as a matchless inspiration for whole of mankind," she said.
