DGP condoles Head Constable’s killing
Srinagar, Sep 29: Director General of Police (DGP) Rashmi Ranjan Swain Sunday condoled the killing of Head Constable Bashir Ahmad of J&K Police in Kathua.
A statement of the J&K Police issued here said, “Ahmad was killed during an encounter with foreign terrorists.” Expressing sorrow, the DGP conveyed to the family of the deceased policeman that the entire Police force stands behind it and would continue to do so in future.
“While the J&K Police force cannot bring back Head Constable Bashir Ahmad, it undertakes to extend every possible support to the family and avenge his killing. He did not fear death when it came to protecting his community and countrymen and killed foreign terrorists with his LMG before succumbing to his injuries,” he said.
The DGP also prayed for the speedy recovery of other injured personnel.
