Developing far flung areas my agenda: Usman Majid
Srinagar, Sep 22: Former Minister and ex MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid on Sunday said that uplifting the poor and developing underprivileged areas in Bandipora is his main agenda.
According to a press release, speaking during a public meeting at Nussoo area of the Bandipora constituency, he stressed the urgent need for inclusive development that reaches every corner of the region, particularly areas that have long been neglected.
Majid assured the people of his dedication to addressing these challenges with the same vigour and effectiveness he demonstrated in the past. "My mission is to ensure that every individual in bandipora has access to the basic amenities they deserve and to bring sustainable development to even the most far-flung areas," he said.
Majid promised to elevate Bandipora to new heights in terms of development and prosperity. He outlined his vision for equitable growth, which includes upgrading infrastructure, improving healthcare facilities, and enhancing educational opportunities in the remote regions of Bandipora and beyond. He highlighted several initiatives undertaken during his tenure that have already brought positive changes while emphasizing the need for sustained efforts to build on this progress.
Majid further stressed that his political journey has always been centred on improving the living conditions of the underprivileged. "My only agenda is to work for the welfare of the poor and to ensure that development extends to even the most remote areas," he said.
He cited his previous tenure as an example of effective governance, mentioning numerous developmental projects. These included the creation of a new district, the construction of roads, and the establishment of crucial infrastructure such as Bandipora College, Bandipora Hospital, and vital road networks. He asserted that continuing this development is his primary aim and agenda.
