CRPF hosts awareness lecture on TB, kidney disease, CPR
Srinagar, Mar 28: A lecture on ‘Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (TB) and Kidney disease’ was organised by the Regional CRPF Family Welfare Association, Srinagar Group Centre.
A statement of the CRPF issued here said HOD Emergency Medicine, Dr Shafat Ahmad Keenu, and Dr nephrologist Hilal Ahmad Malla, delivered the lecture.
DIG Group Centre CRPF Srinagar, Rajesh Kumar welcomed the speakers.
Dr Shafat Ahmad Keenu presented a demonstration of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), showing simple techniques as to how to perform effective CPR.
Dr Malla delivered an informative lecture on kidney diseases regarding metabolic illness, dietary precautions, and clearing many doubts and myths regarding dialysis.
Around 165 family members and force personnel residing inside the campus as well as first aid course trained personnel attended the CPR training with some of them even called onto the stage to perform CPR illustration.
President RCWA, GC, Srinagar, Sangeeta Kumar presented mementos to Dr Keenu and Dr Malla.
The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks offered by the Senior Medical Officer of this Group Centre, Dr Annu Arya.
