Congress neglected people of Jammu region: Arvind Gupta

Jammu, Sep 01: BJP leader and party candidate for Jammu west assembly constituency, Arvind Gupta, today criticised the Congress for derailing the development and progress of the Jammu region during its decades-long rule in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He emphasised that the Congress, with its outdated and flawed policies, has repeatedly failed to address the aspirations of the people of the Jammu region.

According to a press release, he was addressing a gathering during his poll campaign in several wards of the Jammu West Constituency. The BJP leader said that the Congress party has always neglected the core issues of the Jammu region, focusing on vote-bank politics and false promises.

He highlighted how the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought about historic changes, particularly after the abrogation of Article 370, which has empowered the region’s youth, women, and marginalized communities.

Arvind further pointed out that while the Congress focuses on divisive politics, the BJP is focused on inclusive development. “Under the Congress regime, Jammu and Kashmir was deprived of basic infrastructure, employment opportunities, and economic growth. In contrast, the BJP has ushered in a new era of connectivity, social welfare schemes, and overall development,” he stated.
