CM Yogi, Jagadguru Shankaracharya perform special Havan at Gorakhnath Temple for nation’s social welfare
New Delhi, Feb 13: Gorakhpur witnessed a special spiritual event as Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidushekhar Bharati, alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, conducted a special havan at the Yagyashala of Gorakhnath Temple.
The sacred ritual was performed in accordance with the traditions of the Sringeri Peeth, invoking divine blessings for public welfare and national prosperity. The event aimed at fostering spiritual harmony and social welfare through Vedic rituals.
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam arrived in Gorakhpur on February 11 as part of his Vijay Yatra, following the spiritual guidance of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Shri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam of Shringeri Sharada Peeth.
He was welcomed by CM Yogi Adityanath and the temple authorities. During his stay, he delivered a spiritual discourse, Shankar Vachan, blessing Vedic students and scholars with his wisdom.
On Wednesday night, Shankaracharya conducted a special ritual with CM Yogi participating. The following morning, they proceeded together to the Yagyashala for the Anjaneya Havan, offering prayers to Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya and Guru Gorakhnath for the nation’s prosperity and well-being.
The Chief Minister of UP accompanied him on a tour of the Gorakhnath Temple premises, culminating in an emotional farewell.
During his temple stay, CM Yogi adhered to his daily prayers and rituals. While touring the premises, he interacted warmly with children among the devotees, blessing them, sharing light-hearted moments, and gifting chocolates.
With the conclusion of this spiritually enriching event, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidushekhar Bharati departed from Gorakhnath Temple, leaving behind an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.
