Bridegroom stabbed on his Mehendiraat in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Srinagar, August 24: A bridegroom was injured in a knife attack amid the wedding celebrations at Rakhama area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening, reports said.

Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that unknown persons came on bike and phoned the bridegroom, Mubashir Ahmad Naikoo, amid the function of the night.

Later the official said, the unknown persons attacked Naikoo, leaving him wounded, and then fled.

Naikoo was shifted to SDH Kulgam from where he was referred to SMHS hospital for advanced treatment, the official said.

Meanwhile, police said that a case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
