Body recovered from parked vehicle on Jammu-Srinagar highway in J&K's Ramban
Banihal, Dec 31: Police on Tuesday recovered a dead body under mysterious circumstances from a parked Bolero vehicle along old Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Makarkoot market in Ramban district.
SHO Ramsoo, Nayeem-ul-Haq told Greater Kashmir that the body was found on the middle seat of the vehicle in sleeping condition by locals.
He said initial investigation suggests that the Bolero was parked here from previous night and some locals spotted the vehicle Tuesday morning with a person sleeping inside.
He said when people found him same condition at evening they informed police.
The police identified the individual as Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh (24), son of Late Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, resident of Chandroog Ramban.
According to SHO, Reyaz was owner and driver of the Bolero, bearing registration number JK19A-7029, and he got his vehicle under Umeed scheme few weeks ago.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and initiated investigation, SHO added.
