After the tireless efforts of fire tenders, supported by police and local residents, the blaze that had ravaged the Sopore industrial estate was finally brought under control. However, the damage was already done. The two-storey building of the "Habib Enterprises" unit, owned by Ishfaq Ahmad Ganaie, was completely destroyed in the inferno.

The scale of the loss is staggering - not only was the entire infrastructure reduced to ashes, but the manufactured products and inventory worth lakhs of rupees were also destroyed in the fire incident. The owners now find themselves facing a devastating setback, their livelihoods and businesses in ruin.

The Presidents of the Sopore Traders Federation and the Industrial Estate Association have expressed their deep grief and sorrow over this calamitous event. They have now urgently appealed to the administration to provide adequate compensation to the owner of the devastated unit, in order to help them rebuild and recover from this catastrophic blow.
