Bhan urges PM Modi to prioritise return of KPs

New Delhi, June 25: Ashok Bhan, chairman Kashmir (Policy and Strategy ) Group and a fellow of United Services Institute -(USI) has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prioritise the return of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) to Kashmir.

According to a press release, he was addressing a meeting of his group. “KPs are longing to return home. Thirty years of exile is harsh, traumatic and painful fraught with extinction of this unique and viable community. This community is aborigines with 5000 years of roots engraved in soil of Valley. It is the moral, constitutional and political duty of PM Modi and his government to plan a structured Garwapsi of the KPs .There is a national socio-political consensus on this issue and the Kashmiri societal welcome awaits them. The Kashmir without physical presence of Kashmiri Pandits is incomplete is the Valley’s overwhelming sentiment,” he said.
