Aryans Group of Colleges organises Shikara race
Srinagar, Nov 3: Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura near Chandigarh, organised its 5th Shikara race at the Dal Lake in Srinagar.
Hundreds of tourists and locals witnessed the event, which was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges.
The race commenced after the flag-off by Dr Anshu Kataria. The winners were as follows: 1st place went to Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat, 2nd place to Suhail Ahmad Bhat, and 3rd place to Bashir Ahmad Sheikh. They were rewarded during a felicitation ceremony.
While addressing and congratulating the winners, Dr Kataria said that today’s youth have great potential in every sphere to lead the country. He expressed pride in the multi-talented nature of all Aryans students, noting that they are not only academically strong but also excelling in innovations. He added that the copyright awarded to the Aryans Shikara app by the Government of India is truly remarkable.
Dr Kataria noted that Aryans students also organised a Shikara race last year, which saw the participation of hundreds of tourists. In the past, Aryans students have achieved many small innovations, including the “Shikara App,” “Solar Boat,” “Ramadhan App,” “Android App,” “eMunshi App,” “Safety Helmet,” “Save Kashmir,” and “Life-Saving Glove” for the Valley.
