Army Commander reviews security situation, operational readiness at LoC in Rajouri
Rajouri, Mar 21: The Northern Army Commander of Indian Army, Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar along with other senior Army commanders visited several forward locations on Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The visit of senior Army commander has taken place only one day after a suspected grenade blast at Manyal in Rajouri's Thanamandi where suspected terrorists reportedly tried to target a naka check point of security forces.
Army, in an official statement, said that Army Commander Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar alongwith General Officer in Commander White Knight Corps visited the Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors.
Other senior field commanders including General Officer in Commanding Ace of Spades Division and others were also present during this visit who briefed Army Commander about prevailing security situation.
The purpose of the visit was to review the operational readiness of the troops deployed in these critical sectors, both at forward locations as well as on Anti Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS).
During the visit, Lt Gen Kumar was briefed on the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of the troops.
He commended all ranks for their commitment and dedication to duty, urging them to maintain a high level of alertness and professionalism, Indian Army stated in its official statement.
Lt Gen Kumar's visit is part of the Indian Army's ongoing efforts to review and strengthen its operational readiness in key sectors.
The army has been actively engaged in modernizing its capabilities, leveraging indigenous technology, and enhancing its combat effectiveness.
