Apni Party committed to public service: Ataf Bukhari
Jammu, Nov 6: Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari today said that his party is committed to public service
According to a press note, he was addressing a meeting of Apni Party here. The purpose of the meeting was to review the performance of the party in Jammu province and formulate a strategy to make the party stronger. On this occasion, party leaders including General Secretary Vijay Bakaya and Provincial President S Manjeet Singh apprised the party leader about the functioning and performance of the party.
After discussions on various issues, the party chief instructed the leaders to stay in touch with the people at the ground level and highlight the problems they are facing so that they can be resolved by the authorities concerned.
Bukhari said that his party is both committed and determined to provide constitutional guarantees to the specific rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir on lands and jobs.
He said, “It was his own party, which secured jobs and land for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. However, we will ensure that the special right of the people here to jobs and land is constitutionally guaranteed so that no one can take away these rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
Bukhari added that his party is fully committed to serve the people and achieve its core agenda. “For this purpose, this party came into existence on March 8, 2020. Apni Party agenda is equal development in all regions, elimination of discrimination, and ensuring peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He asked the party leaders in Jammu to make tireless efforts to highlight the public grievances. On this occasion, he expressed his concern over the government's lack of interest in releasing the prisoners.
"A large number of people, especially the youth, have been locked up in jails for years. They should be released so that they can lead a peaceful life. Unfortunately, the government has not shown any interest in this move, “he said.
Bukhari also expressed his concern over the delay in issuing passports and making the verification process very difficult for people, especially the youth. He said that some young people want to go outside the country for higher education and a better future. “However, candidates continue to suffer due to delays in the police verification process or issuance of passports,” Apni Party President said.
