Amit exhorts RCS Mizoram to take cooperative movement to new heights
Aizawl, Dec 2: Amit Sharma, Special Secretary Cooperation (Independent Charge) Mizoram exhorted John, Registrar Cooperative Societies (RCS) Mizoram to take Cooperative Movement to new heights during the upcoming UN International Year of Cooperatives, 2025.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Mizoram is already a better-performing state in the Cooperative sector amongst the North Eastern States wherein Administrative Secretary Cooperation Amit Sharma emphasized that the theme of United Nations for 2025 “Cooperatives Build a Better World” has to be implemented in letter and spirit for the upliftment of masses with multiple activities apart from traditional agriculture amongst 52 enlisted activities.
Amit, while addressing the officers of Cooperation Department in Mizoram, Amit set timelines for finishing the audit of ePACS so that sufficient NABARD support can be extended to them based out of same in the near future.
While appreciating the performance of Apex Cooperative Banks of Mizoram, especially with the requisite checks and balances of NABARD, Secretary Amit Sharma told RCS to gear up his machinery to implement similar successful models in all other Cooperative Sectors such as Handloom & Handicraft Societies, Food & Products related Marketing Societies, so that the primary members of these societies can get maximum gains with their consistent positive efforts in times to come.
Before concluding, Secretary Cooperation Amit Sharma exhorted officers of the Department to make regular field visits and conduct sensitisation workshops for the welfare of existing Cooperative Societies while wishing them Merry Christmas and a great upcoming New Year for all the employees of the Cooperation Department for working with more zeal and enthusiasm in the upcoming year of UN IYC 2025.
