Jammu, Dec 2: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office in Jammu has highlighted exceptional employee performance and significant strides in pension disbursement, showcasing a commitment to social security and efficient service delivery.

Sanjeev Kumar, a Senior Social Security Assistant, emerged as a standout performer, processing an unprecedented number of claims in rapid succession. His remarkable achievement of handling 1,124 claims in a single day on September 16, not only set a new benchmark but also motivated colleagues to enhance their productivity.

Regional PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin emphasised the importance of volunteerism and team-building initiatives, which have cultivated a positive work environment and improved overall organizational efficiency. The recognition extended beyond individual performers, acknowledging multi-tasking employees like Nawaz, who works as a guard, and Ashwani Gaind, a programmer.

The EPFO Jammu team, led by Rizwan Uddin and including officials like Ajit Kumar Mishra, Satya Prakash, and Pranav Gupta, has been proactively processing pension claims for employees in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. In a significant development, the office has initiated pension settlements directly from the region, providing critical financial support to employees and their families.

During a recent certificate distribution ceremony, several pensioners received their dues, with amounts ranging from ₹17,642 to ₹263,595. The office highlighted that monthly pensions are available to members with ten or more years of service under the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995, with options for online and offline applications.

The pensioners who visited the EPFO office expressed gratitude for the timely disbursement of their monthly pensions and arrears before the end of November 2024.
