Acme Sports Academy clinches Srinagar Kabaddi Championship title

Srinagar, Oct 10: The District Srinagar Kabaddi Championship 2024 concluded successfully at the Indoor Hall Polo Ground, with Acme Sports Academy emerging victorious in a commanding display against MGL Kabaddi Club with a 20-point margin.

The two-day championship, which featured eight teams in each category, was organized by the District Srinagar Kabaddi Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and under the aegis of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association.

Hilal Ahmad, Deputy Manager of Polo Ground, who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, was joined by Shakeel Ahmad and Irfan Ahmad as guests of honor. In his address, Mr. Hilal Ahmad commended the participants and congratulated both the winners and runners-up. He expressed optimism about Kashmir’s potential representation in the Kabaddi Pro League, highlighting the region’s growing prowess in the sport.

The championship, meticulously overseen by Kabaddi Coach Jahangeer Mohammad, showcased the rising talent in Kashmir’s Kabaddi circuit. The tournament’s success marks another milestone in the region’s sporting calendar, demonstrating the growing popularity of kabaddi among local youth.
