Absence of Chemistry teacher at Handwara school takes toll on students
Over four months have passed since the new academic session started but the students at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Warpora, are without a lecturer of Chemistry subject.
“As classes commenced on April 15, our children embarked on a new academic session but ever since they haven't been taught Chemistry subject due to the unavailability of a teacher," social activist Shahnawaz Lone said.
"We have given several representations to the concerned department but nothing has been done so far in this regard," he said.
The parents of students are also in distress about the careers of their children.
“On the one side, the government is claiming better facilities and staff at government schools and on the other hand our children are being deprived of education,” said a parent.
They have appealed to the concerned authorities to depute a Chemistry teacher at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Warpora as soon as possible so that the careers of their children may not be affected further.
