9 injured in Manjakote road accident
Rajouri, Jan 27: Nine passengers, including two minors, were injured in a road accident that took place when a passenger bus fell off the road while negotiating a steep curve at Guglinar, Kakora in Manjakote tehsil of Rajouri district on Saturday.
The accident, officials said, took place when a canter bus, bearing registration number JK11 5057, was on its way to Nalla Dagura from Kakora and fell off a cliff at Guglinar.
Nine persons, including the driver, were injured in the accident, police officials said. “The locals and a team from Manjakote police station rescued the injured from the site and shifted them to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri,” they said.
“All the nine injured were shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, where they were under treatment,” SHO Manjakote Abrar Khan said.
Medical Superintendent GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, Dr Mehmood H Bajar, said, “All the injured were having multiple injuries. Two are critical and another one is having polytrauma (multiple traumatic injuries).”
The injured have been identified as Gul Hussian (70), son of Feroz Din; Muhammad Waseem (26), son of Muhammad Razaq; Khadim Hussain (65), son of Abdul Khan; Rukhsana Koser (25), wife of Muhammad Younis; Zaifan (4), son of Muhammad Younis; Muhammad Shabir (28), son of Gul Hussain; Abid Hussain (11), son of Muhammad Naseer; Sobia Koser (20), daughter of Mushtaq Hussain, all residents of Guglinar Kakora and an aged unidentified woman from Dassal village of Rajouri.
