8 bovine smugglers arrested in Ramban

Ramban, June1: Ramban Police arrested eight bovine smugglers and rescued 87 bovine animals on Saturday.

Police sources said, Ramban Police on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar has foiled eight bovine smuggling attempts and arrested eight bovine smugglers and rescued 87 bovine animals.

They said a police team led by SHO Batote intercepted two vehicles, during checking 10 bovines were found laden inside both the vehicles, which were tied cruelly and being transported illegally. Two persons were arrested.  In another instance, the police team of Police Station Ramsoo arrested a pedestrian while taking eight bovines on foot towards Kashmir without obtaining any permission from the competent authority.

Similarly, the Police Party of Police Station Gool arrested a person who was taking 11 bovines on foot towards Kashmir without any permission.
