6th Srinagar Rope Skipping Championship concludes
Srinagar, Jun 14: The 6th Srinagar District Rope Skipping Championship 2025 wrapped up on a high note at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Khanyar, drawing spirited participation from over 200 young athletes.
Organised by the Rope Skipping Association of Jammu & Kashmir (RSAJK), the two-day event, as per a statement issued on Saturday, witnessed intense competition, with R.P. School Lawaypora and Woodland House School clinching the overall championship titles in the girls' and boys' categories, respectively.
Muzamil Ahmad Dar (ZPEO Rainawari), along with several physical educators, presided over the medal distribution ceremony and congratulated the winners for their commendable performances.
As per the statement, overall champions in the girls' category remained R.P. School, Lawaypora, while in the boys' category, overall champions were Woodland House School.
In his vote of thanks, Mohammad Sufiyan, General Secretary of RSAJK, expressed his gratitude to the participants, organising team, and supporting institutions. He also announced that the Open Kashmir Rope Skipping Championship will be held at the scenic tourist destination Pahalgam in July 2025, further boosting enthusiasm for the sport in the region.
