6-member panel to monitor implementation
Jammu, Sep 04: A six-member panel will oversee the implementation of Prime Minister’s package for “Employment and Skilling” in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee, for overseeing the monitoring and implementation of PM’s package for Employment and Skilling (as announced in the Union Budget 2024-25) in J&K. It will lay down targets for expeditious implementation of the package in J&K,” read an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
The committee will have the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department as its Chairman while the Administrative Secretaries of Industries and Commerce Department and Skill Development Department will be its Members.
Administrative Secretary, Labour and Employment Department will be its Member Secretary.
Provident Fund Commissioner, J&K, and any other member as may be co-opted by the committee will also be its members.
As per its terms of reference, the panel will coordinate the rollout of the Prime Minister’s package for Employment and Skilling in Jammu and Kashmir.
It will also guide and coordinate all activities relating to the implementation of the package in J&K.
Besides laying down targets for expeditious implementation of the package, the committee has also been tasked to ensure active participation of stakeholder departments and other related organisations in J&K.
