4 IEDs, wireless communication device recovered in Rajouri
Rajouri, Jan 11: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir police have recovered four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), a wireless communication device, a mini music player and bullets.
Officials said that with the recovered CRPF and J&K police have foiled a possible terror plot. The recovery has been made during an operation that was launched at Hayatpura village of Rajouri district.
Officials said that over some specific information, 237 Battalion of CRPF alongwith Jammu and Kashmir police launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Hayatpura village falling under Manjakote police station jurisdiction in the district.
During this operation, they said, four IEDs were found kept hidden in the area and were possibly to be used in days to come to trigger explosions in areas under a terror plot.
Operation of CRPF and police is still continuing in the, officials said. The operation, officials said, was launched over a specific information of suspicious movement in the area.
