2 thieves arrested at Dharamkund

Ramban Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen property worth Rs 12 lakh from them on Friday.

Police sources said Murari Lal son of Shankar Lal resident of Delhi at present Jevla Company Sumber lodged a complaint at Police station Dharamkund stating that some thieves have stolen copper drums amounting to Rs 12 lakh approximately from the company site at Sumber.

Following the complaint, a case was registered at Police Station Dhramkund.

Later, SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma constituted a special Police team to solve the case and to recover the stolen material.

They said the police team rounded up several suspects. During sustained questioning two suspects confessed to have committed the theft. On their disclosure of stolen property was recovered.

They said Muzaffer Hussain son of Mohammad Hazdullah Mir and Muzaffer Hussain son of Mohammad Abdul Aziz, both residents of Sumber, Tehsil and District Ramban were arrested.

Police said both were booked vide case FIR No. 01 of 2024 under section 379 IPC at Police Station Dharamkund.
