2 teenage boys die, 4 injured in Rajouri road mishap
Rajouri, Sep 07: Two teenage boys died while four others were injured in a road accident at Nagrota on Rajouri- Kotranka road.
Reports said the accident site is located five kilometres away from Rajouri town.
Police officials said that accident took place on Saturday afternoon when a car on way from Palma to Rajouri collided with a roadside tree, then with boulder and then hit a motorcycle coming from opposite side.
In the accident, they said, five students travelling in car were injured while a teenage boy riding motorcycle also sustained injuries and all the six injured were shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri.
Deputy Medical Superintendent of GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, Dr Javed Iqbal said that one of the injured teenage boy, who was a student, was brought dead in hospital.
He has been identified as Sameer Ahmed (17) son of Mohammad Akser resident of Ujhan.
Other four students travelling in the car who were injured and have been hospitalised include Asif Manzoor (16) son of Manzoor Hussain resident of Jatote, Toqeel Mirza (18) son of Shahzad Bashir resident of Darhal, Mohammad Aaman (18) son of Tahir Mirza resident of Darhal and Anwar Shah Mohammad Nayeem ul Hassan (17) son of Anwar Shah resident of Targain Budhal.
Alongside 19 years old Khuda Baksh son of Mohammad Ishaq resident of Palma, who was riding his motorcycle and hit over by this car, was in critical condition in ICU of GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri and was also operated on emergency note but he succumbed to injuries on Saturday late evening.
Police said to have taken up necessary investigation and legal proceedings into the matter.
