2 narcotics smugglers arrested with cannabis

Ramban, May 16: Doda Police arrested two persons after they recovered around 900 grams of cannabis (Charas) from their possession in Gandoh on Thursday.

Police sources said two persons on seeing a Police team of Police Station Gandoh while patrolling at Alni, Seru Kahaljugassar in Gandoh area tried to flee from the spot. However, alert police personnel arrested the both persons.

During frisking 900 grams of cannabis (Charas) was recovered from their possession.

Police identified the arrested persons as Sardar Mohammad, son of Shukar Din resident of Seru, Shapriot, Thaneikothi District Chamba (HP) and Hoshiyar Singh son of Parmatama Singh resident of Sanwal Tehsil Churah, District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.

SHO, Police Station Gundoh, Inspector Parvaiz Khanday confirmed the report and said a case FIR No 56 of 2024 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at the Police Station.
