2 Al-Badr terror associates arrested in Srinagar: Police

Srinagar, Nov 2: Two terrorist associates linked with the Al-Badr outfit were arrested from the Shalteng area of Srinagar, Police said on Thursday.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that during late-night checking at a security checkpoint along Shalteng Bridge by Police, two terrorist associates linked with the Al-Badr terror outfit were arrested.

Police identified them as Yawar Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Basit Nabi, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Sader Bala, Bandipora.
The statement said that during the search, incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including a pistol, two pistol magazines, 28 pistol rounds and a hand grenade were recovered from their possession.
It said that a case vide FIR No 159/2023 under relevant sections of the law had been registered at Police Station Parimpora. GKNS
