The High Court on Wednesday ordered the government to produce copy the Gulmarg Master Plan before it after it is approved by the government.  

After it was informed that the Gulmarg Master Plan has been prepared, division bench of Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Alok Aradhe directed a copy of it be produced before the court after the government approves it.   

The court issued the direction while hearing a Public Interest Litigation petition on preservation of Gulmarg ski resort. 

As soon as the matter came up for hearing today, the court sought information about the finalization of the master plan. 

Chief Town Planner Kashmir who was present informed the court that the master plan for Gulmarg has been prepared and will be submitted to the government for its approval. 

Additional Advocate General M A Chasho represented Gulmarg Development Authority.
