The dominant batting and followed by decent bowling display earned hosts Saurashtra first inning lead points in the drawn match of Under-23 Col CK Nayudu trophy match against J&K at Railway Cricket Ground, Rajkot on Tuesday.

On the last day of the match, hosts contrary to normal expectations of declaring their inning carried batted throughout the day and were content with a draw. Having huge second inning lead hosts didn’t declared in hope of an outright victory.

The match ended in a draw and with the first inning lead of 223 runs, Saurashtra bagged three points while as J&K got one.

In the first inning Saurashtra owing to a mammoth inning of 322 runs by Samarth Vyas piled up huge total 588 for the loss of four wickets on board. In reply J&K were able to score only 365 runs for the loss of all wickets in their first inning. They conceded first inning lead of 223 runs.
