Zoon Dab, Radio Kashmir and emotional connect

In episode 1 of #Kashmir: Threads of Time, GKTV catches up with Bashir Aarif, former Dy Director General of erstwhile Radio Kashmir.

Mr Aarif reflects on the rich legacy of Radio Kashmir and its profound influence on Kashmiri society. He also offers insights into the institution’s functioning, remembering legendary personalities associated with it, including Mir Ghulam Rasool Nazki, Mohiuddin Hajni, Raj Begum, Shameem Dev among others.

He also spoke about the iconic Zoon Dab programme, how it became a staple in almost every Kashmiri household and formed deep emotional bonds between listeners and its beloved characters.
