Bhaderwah, May 6: As per the annual calendar of activity 2025-26 approved by the Director of Youth Services & Sports J&K (UT), the Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Bhaderwah on Tuesday organised an inter-school zonal level tournament for Under 14/17 boys and girls in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, volleyball, badminton, athletics, football, tug of war, yoga, cricket, etc.

The tournament began with Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, badminton, Carrom, chess, and athletic competitions under the overall supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Pritam Singh.

Assistant Development Commissioner Anil Thakur was the chief guest, while local Tehsildar Kamalpreet Singh was the guest of honour at the opening ceremony.

The host school, Principal Kapoor Singh; ZPEO Vijay Kotwal; NCC Commandant Arif Rana; REKs, NYCs and other sports lovers were also present. Student players drawn from govt as well as private schools of zone Bhaderwah are participating in the tournament.

The Chief Guest ADC interacted with the participants and advised them to make physical exercise, games and sports their routine in life for overall personality development. He praised the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the students.

The competitions were coordinated by the trained officials of the Department of Youth Services & Sports Department Zone Bhaderwah.
