Zero tolerance policy

The zero tolerance policy against drugs adopted by the Lieutenant Governor (LG)  Manoj Sinha led administration is highly important for making Jammu and Kashmir drug free. The policy is proving an effective tool in countering the drug menace, boldly and courageously.

The steps being taken by Lieutenant Governor and his administration are being greatly hailed and appreciated by the people. The masses hope that by eliminating the drug menace completely and making J&K drug free, LG administration is making a mark in pro-people governance.

Ever since his appointment as Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has been taking countless pro-people measures and getting those implemented on the ground as well. These measures have brought a positive change in people's lives. The growing drug menace among the youth being a serious problem is also being dealt with much seriousness by LG administration.

The Lieutenant Governor is personally leading the fight against drugs and guiding and directing the administration about the steps taken in this direction. Addressing a high level meeting to review the functioning of Home Department, the Lieutenant Governor referred to his administration's zero tolerance policy against drugs to make J&K drug free.

He also asked police, civil administration, and people to work together to eliminate this menace. The meeting also deliberated on the operationalisation of drug de-addiction centres and measures to tackle the drug menace. The government on its own is taking all possible steps against drugs. However, it cannot single handedly finish the menace.

The cooperation and support of people is equally important. While the people have been highly appreciating the steps being taken by the LG administration against drugs, their active involvement and support is equally important. T

he masses must listen to the plea of Lieutenant Governor to play an important role in the decisive fight of his administration against drugs. With the zero tolerance policy of the government against drugs and support and cooperation of people, it is being hoped that Jammu and Kashmir will be drug free soon.

It will be a great service by the administration to the society. The invaluable contributions will go down in history for ever.
