Zaffar bags Redink Journalism Award
Srinagar, Dec 2: Zaffar Iqbal, Senior Editor at MOJO Story, has bagged the prestigious Redink award in the sports category.
The award was bestowed upon his captivating documentary, “Kashmiri Girls Breaking Stereotypes - Martial Arts is the New Craze in the Valley.”
The award ceremony, held in Mumbai on Saturday, celebrated the exceptional storytelling prowess exhibited by Zaffar.
The documentary, skillfully shot and produced by Haris Jeelani Togoo, unfolds a compelling narrative that spotlights the resilience and empowerment of young girls in Kashmir who are challenging societal norms through the pursuit of martial arts.
Another noteworthy achievement emerged as a second documentary by Zaffar, also produced by Haris was shortlisted in the Health and Wellness category. Titled “Kashmir COVID Frontline Warriors Demonstrate Commitment in Snow Near the LoC,” this narrative captures the unwavering dedication and challenges faced by frontline workers in the region, especially amidst harsh weather conditions.
