Youth4PanunKashmir, Panun Kashmir to launch ‘Maha Abhiyan’ for homeland reclamation from Jan 16


Jammu, Oct 7: Youth4PanunKashmir (Y4PK) and Panun Kashmir on Tuesday declared the launch of a major campaign — the “Maha Abhiyan” — aimed at reclaiming the homeland of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

The movement, as per a press statement, is set to begin on January 16, 2026, at Jagti, Jammu.

According to the organisers, the Maha Abhiyan is rooted in the Margdarshan Resolution of 1991 and seeks to unite the displaced Pandit community around the goal of returning to their ancestral homeland.

The launch event will commence with the Asht Bhairav invocation and Shakti Yajna, symbolizing strength, unity, and spiritual resolve.

Rahul Kaul, Chairman of the Apex Committee of Y4PK, described the campaign as “the moral and spiritual call to reclaim what history and destiny promised us — Panun Kashmir.”
President Vithal Chowdhary called it “the definitive assertion of the right to return,” while Vice President Sunil Raina said the Abhiyan represents “a generational call to transform pain into purpose.”

Several youth leaders, including Suvesh Pandita, Rahul Pandita, and Yamini Kaul, expressed their commitment to lead the movement through cultural assertion and digital mobilization. Senior activists also endorsed the initiative, highlighting the rare unity across generations within the displaced community.

Organisers said the Maha Abhiyan would feature a series of cultural, spiritual, and community programs, culminating in a collective declaration focused on homeland reclamation, rehabilitation, and justice.
