Youth shine in volleyball tournament at GHSS Filler-Thakrai

Kishtwar, Mar 17: The District Administration Kishtwar, in partnership with the Department of Youth Services & Sports, successfully organised a volleyball tournament under the aegis of Sansad Khel Spardha 2025 here at Government Higher Secondary School Filler Block Thakrai.

The tournament was held under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan and under the guidance of DYSSO Jaffer Haider Sheikh and the supervision of ZPEO.

The school principal, Krishan Lal Sharma, was the chief guest. He emphasised the vital role of sports in keeping youth away from drugs and promoting discipline and a healthy lifestyle.

The sporting event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young players who showcased their talent, determination, and sportsmanship on the court. The tournament aimed to promote physical fitness, foster team spirit, and encourage youth participation in competitive sports.

The Department of Youth Services & Sports emphasised the significance of sports in shaping a healthier and more disciplined society.
