Youth shine at inter-zonal sports tournament in Samba

Samba, May 30: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSSO), Samba, is successfully conducting the Inter-Zonal District Level Tournament for under-14 and under-17 boys and girls in badminton, football, chess and cricket.

The tournament, now in its fifth day, is taking place at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium and Kehli Mandi Cricket Ground.

Despite high temperatures, 207 young athletes from all five zones of District Samba have displayed remarkable determination, talent, and sportsmanship. The event is being held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Dharmvir Singh.

As part of the event, a pledge was administered to promote active participation in sports and raise awareness about drug prevention, encouraging a healthy and disciplined lifestyle among youth.

DYSSO Singh congratulated all participants for their dedication and spirited performances, highlighting the true essence of teamwork and sportsmanship.
