Youth empowerment to remain primary focus of PC: Sajad Lone

Kupwara, May 20: People's Conference (PC) President Sajad Gani Lone today said that youth empowerment will remain primary focus of his party if voted to power.

He added that if his party is voted to power he will work to end police verification, and FIR culture which according to him has made the life of common people miserable. Lone was talking to reporters after casting his vote at a polling station established at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Handwara.

He said that police verification was affecting the youth badly so if he manages to win from Baramulla Parliament seat, he will take concrete steps in this regard so that the youth can have a sigh of relief> He added that the youth have been stuck in uncertain situation for a long time now.

To a question about people coming out in good number to cast their votes, PC President said that the people of north Kashmir have always believed in democratic process.
